This Rosé is 100% Grenache crafted from Thunderstone Vineyard in the Royal Slope. Thunderstone is a sustainably farmed high-elevation vineyard with varied soil types, which contribute complexity to the wine. It was harvested early in the mornings later in October.
Upon arrival at the winery, the Grenache was direct-pressed with minimal skin contact. Fermentation and aging were done entirely in stainless steel to focus on the purity of fruit. After 3 months of aging, this wine was bottled in February of 2023, producing only 778 cases.
Tasting Notes
Pale orange and pink in the glass with aromas of fresh strawberries, blood orange and citrus pith. On the palate, bright red currants and strawberries combine with a juicy minerality and concentration. The mouthfeel is lively and focused, offering citrus, orange blossom and herbal notes. The finish is crisp with mineral and floral notes lingering.
